Surly Rim Strips have one job and they do it well. They cover the cutouts in your rim and — if you're running a tube — they protect it from spoke heads and other sharp matter (okay, so maybe they have TWO jobs but they do them both really well.) Rim strips are crucial and should be used with all Surly rims. Ours come in an array of colors so you can really "express yourself."
Surly Rim strips are available in two different materials: PVC and Nylon. PVC is great if you plan on only running tubes. However, if there's any part of you that wants to try this tubeless thing you've been hearing about, Nylon strips are just the ticket. They're thinner and offer minimal stretch so they stay put and lay nicely inside the rim to provide a secure seal. Plus, they're lighter which we all know means you'll go faster… maybe.

WHAT IT'S FOR, WHY IT'S GREAT
From weekend hot laps to World Cup XC finals, the Control Carbon combines the low weight and strength found in our world-beating Control SL rim with the new DT Swiss 350 hubs. An unmatched level of durability, precision, and performance in this new Carbon Control wheelset that is purpose-built to open terrain, from gut-wrenching climbs to tear-inducing descents—a whole new era of riding. A high-performance wheel that excels everywhere from world cup xc races to your favorite weekend trail. The Control Carbon combines the low weight and strength found in our world-beating Control SL rim with the new DT Swiss 350 hubs and spokes. This level of quality, precision and performance has previously been found only on wheels costing twice as much.
ASYMMETRY BEGETS SYMMETRY
The asymmetric design of the Control rim offers some subtle but important benefits. With the spokes offset to one side of the rim, this allows us to reduce the spoke offset that usually occurs at the hub. In turn, this means we can generate greater bracing angles for the spokes between the hub and rim, while also minimizing the spoke tension differential that often occurs between drive- and non-drive side spokes. The end result is a wheel that is stronger, laterally stiffer, more durable, and in the case of the Control, allows us to utilize the same length spoke throughout the whole wheelset.
MINIMUM WEIGHT, MAXIMUM DURABILITY, EASY SERVICEABILITY
Striking a no-hassle balance between low weight and low maintenance, we chose DT Swiss 350 Classic hubs (15x110mm thru-axle front, 12x148mm thru-axle rear) as the basis for the Control Carbon wheels. With sealed bearings, a notoriously durable 36-tooth ratchet, and 28 spokes front and rear, dependability is assured.
QUALITY THROUGHOUT, FROM HUB TO SPOKE TO NIPPLE TO RIM
There is absolutely no point in laying up an awesome rim and pairing it with a quality hub, only to skimp on spokes and nipples. So, keeping strength and dependability foremost in our minds, we opted to hold the Control Carbon wheel together with the best: DT Swiss Competition Race spokes and alloy Pro Lock nipples.

29ers are all about speed, and the Hardrock 29 wheelset delivers on this in spades—no matter if you're just getting started or you're a seasoned trail rider. The wheels have been built tough to meet the rigors of mountain biking head-on, while the ample wheel size guarantees a fast-rolling good time. They features a durable, double-wall alloy rim construction that adds strength without stacking on the weight, and to ensure that you'll be able to stop once you get motoring, the wheels are both disc- and rim-brake compatible. High value just met high performance.
- Disc-compatible hubs can also be used with traditional rim brakes.
- Double-wall rims are strong and durable.
- Machined braking surface creates superior stopping power in any condition.
- Stainless spokes won't rust, easing long-term maintenance.
- 8-/9-speed cassette rear hub provides plenty of gearing options for climbing and riding the flats.

Performance Upgrade Made Easy
The C38 brings carbon fiber high performance to the real world. It's a versatile all-rounder equally at home crushing gravel washboards and summiting alpine passes. Optimized for use with modern wide tires, providing the right amount of sidewall support to facilitate surefooted handling in all conditions, the C38 wheelset is a great handling, lively climbing, robust all-road performer that also aerodynamically outperforms many deeper, aero-specific rims that cost twice as much.
Carbon wheels are a true performance upgrade to any bike, but too often the price tag puts them out of reach. The Rapide C38 shatters that barrier and brings a class-leading Roval carbon rim and DT Swiss reliability together to provide riders with the best performance carbon wheel per dollar.

Taking the notion of combining flagship performance with workhorse dependability one step further, we're introducing the Terra C. This shares the same hub and spoke architecture as the Terra CL, ensuring ease of service and spoke replacement, should the need arise and is paired with an entirely new rim layup. The rims on the Terra C share the same dimensions and broad range of tire mounting possibilities as the Terra CLX and CL—33mm deep with a 25mm internal width—but are crafted using a new-to-us process known as Resin Transfer Molding. This is an automated process that allows us to very precisely control how resin is introduced to the layup, which in turn ensures maximum strength and material performance. The end result is an incredibly tough set of wheels that you can beat on to hell and back.

Fattie, big-boned—titles aside, just think of Roval's Traverse SL 29 mountain bike wheels as wide. The reason is behind this simple: With a wide, 30mm internal carbon rim, these wheels dramatically increase both stability and traction, which all boils down to more control. The extra width allows for more tire volume, which means more suppleness in the ride quality. And not only this, but the ample width also better supports the tire, meaning that you'll experience less "burping" when riding tubeless. These wheels also include the Roval tubeless plug system, which is an easy and super lightweight solution for tubeless setups. At the front hub, you'll get a thru-axle design with 15/20mm compatibility (end cap options included), and at the rear, the hub features DT Swiss internals for lightning-quick engagement and acceleration. And to top everything off, these wheels are hand-built to ensure a painstaking attention to detail.
