The Box Four chain employs an 8-speed platform in a similar strategy to the Prime 9 but at a great price point. The chain is polished and then chemically treated to achieve corrosion resistance. We engineered the inner link spacing to be a little tighter than other 8-speed chains and is optimized for use with our Box Four Wide/Narrow Chainring.

The Box Two chain's nickel plating adds both corrosion and wear resistance. All Prime 9 chains have chamfered shifting edges, solid plates, and solid pins to safeguard durability. Our unique inner link spacing is engineered to grab those modern wide/narrow chainrings. We chose to modernize the 9-speed platform due to the chain's spirited reputation. The DLC is as fancy as it sounds; a synthetic diamond nano-coating that turns up the volume on hardness, wear-resistance, and slickness.
